SATURDAY      This morning, step back in time with a visit to Berkeley Plantation, site of the first official Thanksgiving in 1619. Then make room for memories at the Jamestown Settlement. In 1607, thirteen years before the Pilgrims landed in Massachusetts, a group of 104 English men began a settlement on the banks of Virginia's James River. This afternoon, choose your own activity: Williamsburg Pottery, Historic Colonial Williamsburg or the new President's Park (at additional cost). Dinner is a feast tonight at Captain George's Seafood Buffet. (CB,D)

Your day is free to take a stroll through history and imagine the days of Christmas past. See the beautiful decorations of the 18th century and have some time to work on your gift list. Then, you won't want to miss the early evening Grand Illumination. Depicted as it was, see Williamsburg come to light with the traditional candles, fireworks, and music of the season. Later this evening, meet at Kings Arms Tavern for a traditional colonial dinner. (CB,D)
